Newsletter:
Definitely sign up for Capt. Daves Paradise Brief daily newsletter that is full of great information such as sailing conditions, cruise ship activity, weather, ferry schedules, airport timing anchorage reports and beach reports.
Websites:
Ferry information for Virgin Islands - This will give you the different ferry schedules and helpful registration links.
Boaty Ball - This is how you reserve moorings in the BVI’s. One of the advantages of sailing the USVI’s is you’re not waking up every morning at 7:00am hoping to get a mooring.
Lovango Resort, St Johns - Great stop if you want to pamper yourself for a day.
Bitter End Yacht Club - Click here for the mooring reservations for the Bitter End Yacht Club BVI’s
Apps:
Navily - This gives you a great overview of anchorages, what services they have, moorings, dinghy access etc. Great way to see if a particular anchorage is right for you.
Predict Wind - Great app for seeing what the wind conditions are and will be.
Garmin - Phone version of Ripples nav system, which is a Garmin, so the maps and icons will be familiar.
